Last weekend I got together with the Ladies of the Chinook Outriders Motorcycle Club (the Calgary chapter of the Women in the Wind) for another photoshoot. Long time readers may remember that I created individual and group portraits for the same club last summer. We got some great results last year and they wanted to do it all over again this year. It has been a tough thing to schedule, but we finally managed to pull it off this past weekend.

Last year the shoot was done at Fish Creek Park and the images all had trees with bright green leaves in the background. The images looked great but we wanted to do something a little different this year. We chose an industrial location and used the loading dock and red brick walls of the old Molson Brewery in Inglewood (more recently the West Key Storage building) as a backdrop. I really wanted to give them something striking and different and the industrial location helped with that. You will see from the following example images that I processed many of the images to really play up the grungy location that we used.

Thanks again to all the members of the club that came out. It was great to meet all the new people who weren’t at the portrait session last year, and very flattering that so many come back for a second year. I had lots of fun and I’m already cooking up some new ideas for the next one!

All of the images have been uploaded to the Client Area of the website. Prints, digital files, and many other products (including our new line of Framed Prints) can all be ordered directly from the gallery. Please contact me if you need the access code…
