The Tide Going Out at Sunset

Free Desktop Wallpaper Background Image

As a little bonus for my friends and followers every month I provide a free image for use as your desktop background wallpaper on your computer, mobile phone, or tablet. Each beautiful photo is a picture that I have created and it always includes a calendar overlay for the month. I know that I’m always looking for a calendar and having one on my desktop or phone wallpaper is very convenient!

Sunset at Whytecliff in West Vancouver

This months calendar image is from a recent trip to Vancouver for a photography conference. I took an extra day to tour the city to create pictures for my travel stock photography library of the area. It was a whirlwind tour and I spent time all over the greater Vancouver area. Highlights of the trip included sunset on the ocean at Whytecliff (where this months calendar image was created) in West Vancouver, a late night visit to Stanley Park to photograph the city skyline and Lions Gate bridge, and an early morning trip to the Reifel Migratory Bird Sanctuary in Delta.

Whytecliff Park is a busy park on the water near Horseshoe Bay. I was hoping to sea Sea Lions on the rocks near the park but when that didn’t work out I focused instead on photographing the sunset as the tide went out. It’s a beautiful and very popular spot and it would be well worth a visit if you’re going to be in the Vancouver area.
