Chinook Outriders Motorcycle Club Photoshoot Redux

Last weekend I got together with the Ladies of the Chinook Outriders Motorcycle Club (the Calgary chapter of the Women in the Wind) for another photoshoot. Long time readers may remember that I created individual and group portraits for the same club last summer. We got some great results last year and they wanted to do it all over again this year. It has been a tough thing to schedule, but we finally managed to pull it off this past weekend. Last year the shoot was done at Fish Creek Park and the images all had trees with bright green leaves in the background. The images looked great but we wanted to do something a little different this year. We chose an industrial location and used the loading dock and red brick walls of the old Molson Brewery in Inglewood (more recently the West Key Storage building) as a backdrop. I really wanted to give them something striking and different and the industrial location helped with that. You will see from the following example images that I processed many of the images to really play up the grungy location that we used. Thanks again to all the members of the club that came out. It was great to meet all the new people who weren't at the portrait session last year, and very flattering that so many come back for a second year. Pawsitively Portraits 2014: Dog Portrait Day

Online Registration is now Available Pawsitively Portraits 2014 This is the 4th annual Calgary Pet Photography event that we're running in conjunction with PAWS Dog Daycare. This is a great opportunity for you to get some beautiful portraits of your pet friend(s) at amazing prices while also supporting a wonderful charity, the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation – Prairies/ NWT Region. We are very excited to be able to offer a studio photography day dedicated to your furry friends. We know how important your dogs and other pets are to you and that it is equally important for you to be able to show off some wonderful pictures of them in your homes and offices. Even better, by participating in our Pet Portrait event you are also helping to improve the quality of life for those affected by breast cancer. Representatives of the Foundation will be on site during dog day so please come out and meet some them and contribute to the cause! We are suggesting a minimum donation of $35 for Dog Day participants, but tax receipts will be available for any donation of at least $20. Thanks so much for your support!
