WRC Soccer Update

I've been getting a few calls and emails asking for an update on delivery of the pictures for WRC Soccer. All of the images have been delivered to the WillowRidge Community Center. As I understand it the U6 and U8 Pictures will be handed out at the Wind Up BBQ on June 22nd along with the medals and some food and fun. U10 and U12 team managers can contact Francine at the Community Center (info@willowridge.ca or call 403-271-8044) to find out when and where to pick up their picture packages. To find out about ordering Reprints and Enlargments you can always go to our WRC Soccer Picture Day page. That page will be kept up to date with all the information about the soccer pictures, including links to the image galleries and sample images of some of the specialty products that are available to purchase, including Trader Cards, Magazine Covers, and Sport Posters. WRC Soccer Picture Day WEATHER Update

This is another update to the schedule for WRC Soccer Picture Days... As you all know the weather has been pretty nasty for the last few days. It's supposed to clear up over the weekend with Sunday looking like it's going to be a beautiful day! Unfortunately the forecast for Saturday morning is not so good with possible rain and thunderstorms. Because of the weather forecast for Saturday we have decided to move the WR teams scheduled to have their pictures taken on Saturday morning to the WillowRidge Community Center (instead of Willow Park School). We will still be outside if the weather permits, but if not then we will use a studio setting in the skate room in the basement of the community center. The schedule for the Carburn teams on Sunday has not changed and we are still planning to be outside at Sherwood School Note that the latest and greatest updated schedule can always be found on our WRC Soccer Picture Day page. David West | Better Business Portraits

I had the honor of photographing a Calgary businessman recently to create business headshots for use on his website and marketing materials. David West is a Social Media Consultant and Professional Speaker, and the owner of Ekzact Solutions. Ekzact is a leading Calgary website design and search engine optimization company. They specialize in creating custom websites for small to medium-sized businesses and help them to get ranked higher on Google and ultimately convert leads to sales. If you're in business and your website is not performing to your expectations then you really need to see Ekzact for a free consultation. David needed updated headshots to use on a rebuild of his personal website and he wanted to be able to cut out the background so that the images would blend into the existing colors on the site. I have a selection of backdrops available and I would normally recommend something more attractive than pure white for business portraits, but when the background is going to be removed anyway then the best choice is to use something clean and simple without any patterns. We decided that a pure white seamless paper backdrop would be a great choice for this session so that extraction of the backdrop in Photoshop would be easy. I can create custom photography solutions to make your life easier. If you have a specific use for your final images please let me know and I can work with you to determine the best approach. Images in Use: Framed Fine Art Prints

Framed Fine Art Print I'm always proud and excited to see my work on display. These images are from my Fine Art Print Collection and they are two of my personal favorites. These images were both printed at 16x20 and mounted on foamcore. They were matted with a two-inch black mat and then framed in a very simple contemporary black frame. I personally prefer simple displays for my images, and I love these exactly as they are, but larger mats also work very well for wall portraits. A good framer can help recommend mat and frame options that would work best for a particular image. I do have a couple of custom frame options available through my partnership with Time Frames Custom Picture Framing, or you could contact Karen directly if you want to see some other choices.
